How to Clone Any YouTuber's Thumbnail Style

Pick a channel whose thumbnails already get views in your niche. Break down five things: layout, colour grade, lighting, how the face is framed, and what the text does. Rebuild those five around your own video and your own face. Copy the recipe, never the artwork.
Pick the right channel to learn from
Not the biggest channel. The closest one that is beating you.
A channel with 50 million subscribers gets clicks partly because of the name. You cannot copy a name. Find a channel one or two steps ahead of you in the same topic, where the thumbnail is doing the work.
Then find their outliers, the videos that did far better than their own average. That is where the thumbnail earned it.
The five things to copy
Layout. Where does the subject sit? Left third, centre, filling the frame? Where does the text go and how much room does it get?
Colour. Count the colours. Most high performing thumbnails use two or three, hard, with one that pops against the rest.
Lighting. Flat and bright, or hard shadows and rim light? This single choice changes the feel more than anything else.
Face framing. How close is the crop? What is the expression doing? Eyes to camera or looking at something?
Text behaviour. How many words. Where. Outlined or shadowed. Do they use arrows, circles, numbers.
Rebuild it around your video
Now take those five and apply them to your own subject. Same layout, your scene. Same colour discipline, your topic. Same lighting, your face.
The result should look like it belongs in their feed, while being unmistakably your video. That is the whole trick. You are borrowing the visual grammar that a viewer already trusts.
